Estate Giving

These thoughtful acts of giving extend your values into the future, changing lives today and building a legacy of faith, compassion and hope.

It's more than just your home...

Your legacy can take many forms. In addition to gifts of real estate, you can support the Newman Center through the ways listed below. Through these giving options, you can care for your loved ones, achieve your financial and philanthropic goals, and ensure that future generations of students encounter Christ through the Newman Center's mission.
Charitable Bequests
Charitable bequests are a smart philanthropic option because they allow individuals to leave a lasting legacy after their passing. They offer tax-saving benefits by reducing the taxable estate, potentially estate taxes.
Life Insurance Policies
Gifting life insurance is a lasting way to create a legacy that extend beyond your lifetime. It's strategic, allowing donors to make a significant future gift with relatively low current cost.
Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRTs)
A Charitable Remainder Trust is a strategic way to provide a future gift to the Newman Center while receiving income during your lifetime. CRTs are also flexible, allowing you to structure the trust to meet both personal financial goals and charitable intentions.
Charitable Lead Trusts (CLTs)
A Charitable Lead Trust is the reverse of a CRT. In a CLT, the Newman Center receives income from the trust for a specified period, and the remaining assets are transferred to non-charitable beneficiaries (such as family members) after that period ends.
Real Estate
We have the ability to accept real estate gifts, aiding the Newman Center ministries and offering donor tax benefits.
