Corpus Christi Sunday

Jun 22, 2025    Fr. Ryan Kaup

The Feast of Corpus Christi reminds us of one of the most profound truths of our faith: Jesus has not left us. He promised that He would be with us always, and He fulfills that promise in a real and tangible way through the Eucharist. In a world that often feels chaotic, distracting, and constantly shifting, the Eucharist stands as a steady anchor. A place we can return to again and again.

The Eucharist isn’t just a reminder of Jesus; it is Jesus who is fully present, body, blood, soul, and divinity. It’s the source and summit of the Christian life, the place where heaven touches earth. When everything else feels uncertain, the Eucharist grounds us. It reminds us of who we are and whose we are.

We don’t have to go to the ends of the earth searching for meaning or purpose but instead Jesus makes Himself readily available to us. He waits in the tabernacle, longing to speak to the deepest desires of our hearts. The world pulls our attention in a thousand different directions, but in the stillness of the Eucharist, we encounter the One who truly satisfies. He is our anchor, our refuge, and our home.
