St. Kateri Tekakwitha
Jul 14, 2025 • Fr. Alec Sasse
Even in the places where it seems the Gospel cannot take root, God’s grace can still break through. St. Kateri Tekakwitha was born into a tribe known for rejecting the faith. A place where missionaries had been martyred and the message of Christ had never found a foothold. And yet, in that very soil, God planted a seed. Through His grace, He raised up a young girl whose quiet faith and purity became a light to her people. Her story is a reminder that no heart, no community, no corner of the world is beyond the reach of the Gospel. Whether it’s in our families, our friendships, or the hidden places within our own hearts, God is always able to transform what seems unreachable and bring forth life where we least expect it.
