First Sunday of Lent

In the gospel, Jesus is seen resisting temptation in the desert. He is able to reject the lies of the enemy because He knows that He is held in the arms of the Father.
In taking the offense and proclaiming the truth that we are sons and daughters of the Father, we allow Him to fight for us and bring us into freedom.
