Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Sep 7, 2025    Fr. Ryan Kaup

From the beginning, these saint’s lives show that we do not need more time to become saints, we need more love. With the eucharist at the center of their lives, they were able to deeply love the Lord.

Frassati was often found taking care of the poor, giving the shoes off his feet. Carlo, as the first millennial saint, embraced technology as a way to share the love of Jesus. Even until the end of their lives, they cared for those around them and gave it all.

We don’t have to wait to be holy. Yet this holiness calls us to make choices and share the love of Jesus with others. In this outpouring of love, they show a great example of humble men in action. In the gospel, Jesus calls us to love Him above all else with an undivided heart.

May we too choose Jesus and ask for the grace to do so. May we too emulate the heroic virtue of asking to be sanctified and transformed daily. For this grace does not run empty, it is available daily. Do you want it?
